After hearing last night that everyone wants to improve their photography, I noticed this come in from Michelle Cast at American Photo.
American Photo Celebrity Auctions
13 different trips around the world with various celebrity photographers, including Ireland, Italy, Monaco, and the Galapagos. I can only imagine how high these auctions will go once bidding starts. Everything ends on March 8th.
We used to love Kelley and Ping. It was one of the first places we ate together, a long time ago. It combined a great room with low lights, good food and a feeling that you're definitely in NYC. Hey, and it was in a movie.
About three years ago though, we realized it had done the restaurant equivalent of jumping the shark. The lights came up, our favorite waiters disappeared, and the food, well, it disappointed.
A few weeks ago, we only had an hour before our movie started at the Angelica. We didn't feel like pizza and everything else would have taken too long, so we gave Kelley and Ping another shot. It wasn't the same as it was, but it wasn't bad. If we treated it like a new restaurant, it was ok. We went back again after the photo blogging event and it was about the same. Maybe restaurants have more than one life.
PS: We saw the guys from fotolog.net there as well.
