What to do in West Virginia

west_virginia_90-small.jpg

After playing with the handy dandy world66.com tool, I started thinking about "ticking off the last few states". We've been having a general discussion of heading down to North Carolina in the spring due to some friends and family who recently moved there. Maybe a slight detour and it becomes a road trip through West Virginia.

Reviewing the choices, I admit, it seems to be an outdoor type of state. Mostly parks, white water rafting and of course, grave mounds. The most famous event I'm aware of in WV is Bridge Day. It's the only day you can legally jump off a bridge (with the correct equipment of course). Sounds like a fun time, though I guess I'd need to get certified quick if I wanted to participate.
