Comment Spam getting me down

just curious how much others are dealing with comment spam. I'm getting about 100 a day apparently from the same people. Occasionally they skip a day, then they come back. It only takes 10 minutes to delete it all, but it still pisses me off.

So, I can take the easy way out and just turn comments off. Which would be a shame. I can upgrade and start using TypeKey, which would at least require them to register from a real valid mail address, but be a pain in the ass for anyone else. Or I could look to switch the comments to a "permission" model, where I have to approve them before they actually get posted. I don't really have the time to hack MT though.

I'm going to look at MT-Blacklist and see how much that buys me in the meantime. What I'm really looking for is an easier way to bulk delete comments.

Well, actually, I'm just looking for comment spammers to stop ruining things. It's the tragedy of the commons and just makes me sad.

So, ironically, does anyone have any comments about what I should do?
