Fox News Protest

On Tuesday afternoon, a crowd started forming outside of Fox News in midtown.

I liked these undercover biker cops.

The outfoxed bus showed up to great applause

The bicycle cops were using their bikes to partition off parts of the sidewalk. Most of them had the flexicuffs on their handlebars. I noticed they carefully wrote what appeared to be their precinct and badge number on each flexicuff.

The other thing I thought was interesting was the number of video cameras in the crowd. Some were in the mix and others were hanging back where I was, recording everything. Even the police were recording everything. In four years, I expect most of the demonstrators will be carrying these.

In the meantime, a few people were carrying cardboard cameras around

I missed this Fox News thing. Your photos are way better than most; there are so many badly taken protest snapshots on the web this week -- yuck.

If you dislike FOx, you may enjoy seeing an entire series of photos of what has happened to the Fox News Billboards in the NY subways: http://graphitefurnace.blogs.com/main/2004/08/fox_news_billbo.html

BTW, there is another big anti-corporate media protest Wednesday (today) at 7PM. Meet in midtown (details at http://www.fair.org/events.html).
