Mallification of Manhattan: Bennigan Again

bennigan.jpg

Bennigans pretty much sums up bad suburban restaurant bars. Now it's invaded Hell's Kitchen (47th and 8th) Yesterday's Mallification: Home Depot story covered something which arguably is an improvement for the city. Places like Olive Garden and Bennigans on the other hand bring the city down to a level of mediocrity that I hard to accept.

The sad part is when I walk past either of those two places, they are both very very crowded. Presumably with tourists who are happy to see something they recognize. If they walked one more block over, they'd have their choice of an Avenue's worth of great restaurants.

Oh my god! I live on 47th between 8th and 9th. I was SO disappointed to see that Bennigan's has invaded.

Needless to say, I'm moving.
