Overheard on 46th St

Overheard on Restaurant Row, passing the one parking lot on the street. A woman screaming at a man, "I'm a New Yorker, there's no way I would have paid $45 for a few hours of parking". The man calmly replied, "I'm a New Yorker too, why did you try parking on 46th St?"

If she had parked a block away, there were spaces on the street that didn't cost anything. Too late anyway, he had her keys.

The Padre:

Ah, driving. Nothing but negative energy. This story illustrates how if people thought about parking costs before they left the house, they'd be more likely to use mass transit.

bishdish:

Yeah, and food is soo expensive, why not eat your yard.
