Friends from out of town were staying at the Marriot, so we stopped by there after dinner for a drink and dessert. We wound up at the eighth floor bar. A few minutes later, this guy in a group of people rather loudly said "Get away from my mother!". Everyone at the table looked over trying to figure out what was going on.
The guy kept telling this person who looked like he was in their group, to stop bothering his mother. Apparently, the family had been sitting on a bench nearby when this younger guy (in the white shirt with the backpack in the first and last photos) sat down a little too close next to the mom. They got up to move and the guy kept following the mom. That's when the son spoke up.
A little posturing and a lot of security guards later, everything was fine. The guy seemed to be out of it, he was speaking slowly and not avoiding the confrontation. When the guards asked him to step aside, he said "I'm not doing anything wrong", but in a very drawn out way. He was escorted out of the building.
