Argentina: San Telmo Market

santelmo-1.JPG

San Telmo is famous for it's antique market on Sunday. Famous means crowds of course. There are a lot of booths and it's interesting to wander around, looking at what's for sale. We came VERY close to buying an antique bolo, which was made of marble and silver. As the vendor said, these were for El Jefe. Which means they were expensive, even for Buenos Aires. $500 US in cash. We really liked them, but not for that much. Of course we were so focused on trying to buy them that we didn't take a picture! They were about five inches to the right of this photo.

Of course, there had to be tango dancers with their own crowd.

Personally, I liked these soda bottles.
