There was a big film setup on the corner of 50th and Broadway on Tuesday. It looked like three different boom cameras and a couple of shoulder mounted cams walking around. It turns out Applebees is making a huge ad campaign around their relatively new Times Square location.
Whatever you think of Applebee's cuisine, you have to admit they were trying to make the best of it. I particularly liked the boom operator playing with traffic. Raising the boom when he saw a truck coming and lowering it when they had passed.

i saw this and thought it was some sort of reality tv filming because they had the cameras up on the billboards as they were putting them up and they were filming a lot of people on the ground including some guy getting into a limo.

I didn't think of that, but I'm sure you're right. Perhaps the Apprentice? They love tying in with a company. I should have looked around for Caroline or the Donald.
Good Catch!

I work at Paramount Plaza right across from the Applebee's and two people I work with said they saw Tommy Hilfiger there filming something. That last pic is a Hilfiger ad being put together
