Clotilde from Chocolate and Zucchini and Maxence (shown above) were in town and they invited people to stop by Otto for a drink. About 40 people showed up and we took over 1/2 of the bar.
I stopped by for "a few minutes" and wound up leaving 3 hours later. There were a bunch of interesting people who all shared a common desire for good food and an enjoyment of life.
From Left to Right. Adam in white. Lulu in blue, Kate in beige, behind Lulu, Samantha in black, up front next to Lulu, Christina's head behind Kate. Clotilde and Maxence in the middle. Mark next to Maxence in the back, Julieta next to Mark, Susanne in white next to Julieta, Lisa in front of Julieta and Susann. Finally, Jessica in white in the front row, third from the right.
In this closeup, you can see Jeff in green who was hidden in the previous photo.
Clotilde did a good job of making sure she talked to everyone who came. A few of us joked it was like a wedding. While she was making the rounds, the rest of us wound up talking to each other. It wass a lot of fun to meet so many interesting people with completely different backgrounds.
Someone collected everyone's mail address so perhaps we'll all get together again. I gave my card out until I had no more, but I hope everyone I talked with drops me an email. I have more photos than I can post here. Finally, although lots of wine was consumed, you knew the gelato would have to be ordered as well. Wish I were there. Tell me Clothilde's complexion was just as gorgeous as it seems on the pics. It looks like she's not wearing an ounce of foundation, right? Sorry to be such a girl, but her skin and eyes just pop out at you.
I don't know, every French person I've met has such beautiful and fresh skin! What is this secret? She's so lovely, that sweetie.

The first thing that popped out from the pictures was Clotilde's skin. It's completely flawless (redundant, I know), and no makeup, WOW! I wish I were there. I'm about 2 weeks too late. Oh well.
