Red Hook

redhook-1.jpg

Since we had the rental car anyway, we stopped by Red Hook to take a look around a neighborhood which is about to change quite dramatically. These are the tourist pictures of Red Hook: The Beard St Pier Area, the former Dominos sugar factory, and the wheat silos.

But you really get a feel for the area going down the cobblestone streets with the houses leaning over on each other. A lot of very old, left alone buildings there. I'll be back when it's warmer and we have more time.
