Trestle

On the same block as Pepe Giallo, a new Swiss influenced restaurant named Trestle has recently opened. I stopped in for a late dinner with a good friend.

The room is modestly sized, but beautiful and cleanly designed. Even the small details such as the rounded edges on the wooden tables helped make it feel very comfortable. Looking at the photo above, it almost looks like something from a Hopper painting.

I started off with the Pizokel (sp?) which was a form of spaetzel, gruyere and onions. Very tasty. My entree was the pork loin, which was a bit intimidating when it arrived. I figured I would need to take some home since it was a bit larger than I expected. So much for the portion control, it was so flavorful, I wound up eating the whole thing.

Although I thought I was full, the blueberry tart won me over.

I'll be back
