Hopetown: Vernon's Grocery

vernon-1.jpg

Hopetown isn't a very large town, you basically get a choice of two places to get your groceries. One is a perfectly serviceable, but not very charming supermarket type of place. The other is a one of a kind grocery store that was more than worth the slightly longer walk: Vernon's.

Vernon is a sixth generation resident of Elbow Cay. He's also the local baker. Personally, I couldn't get enough of his banana bread. We put a special order in for a few loaves when we realized the first loaf was finished in a few hours.

The most noticeable part of the store were all of the quotes. He said they've mostly come from his customers.
