Hopetown: Church Bells

church-bell-0.jpg

On the second or third time I stopped into Vernon's, he asked where I was from and what I did. I gave the vague answer of "computers" causing him to perk up. It seems they had some sort of electrical issue, resetting the computer which drove the church bell.

He took me by the church later that week and introduced me to this behemoth. I figured out the menu quick enough, but it took a while to see what the issue was. Unfortunately, though I could get it to play a song at whatever time I liked, I could not see a way to get it to just ring the noon bell. I could ring a bell manually in 3 different styles, but could not program it to ring at a specific time.

Luckily Vernon came back and explained that he was expecting it to play a song. I spent 1/2 hour fighting with it, and I just didn't understand the requirements. Almost felt like work except we went snorkling afterwards.
